Practice Emphasis

Byron Prescott's practice centers on commercial real estate transactions. He represents his clients on a national basis in the acquisition, disposition and financing of commercial real estate of all types. He also represents his clients in commercial lease transactions, and has drafted and negotiated commercial leases with aggregate square footage of over 3,000,000 square feet. His experience encompasses all phases of due dilligence including: reviewing and negotiating leases and service agreements, title and survey review, drafting assignments and consents and obtaining approvals, licenses and permits from applicable governmental authorities. Byron has represented investors, developers, institutional lenders, and corporate clients.

Byron's prior experience as in-house counsel for a major international corporate institution helps him to better understand his client's needs and business when it comes to working with large institutions. As a member of the corporate team, Byron was able to watch a deal proceed from raw idea through to conclusion, and to actively participate in the decision-making and business process. Byron is attuned to business issues and to the importance of timing in a business transaction. He focuses on meeting his clients' business objectives, and believes that high quality work delivered efficiently is critical to his clients.

He has been involved in negotiating and closing numerous complex real estate and lending transactions, and has supervised and closed in excess of $500,000,000 of commercial real estate transactions.
