Jay D. Crutcher has proven an unequivocal dedication to his clients in handling business and tax matters for entrepreneurs, inventors, private enterprises and public companies.  For the past sixteen years, he has consistently and successfully helped clients in handling business formations, mergers & acquisitions, exit strategies and sales of businesses, monetization of intellectual property and intangible assets. In addition, Mr. Crutcher advises clients in the areas of joint ventures, divestitures, business conversions, reorganizations, recapitalizations, capital investments, private placements and public offerings of debt and equity securities.

Mr. Crutcher also provides a unique perspective on tax issues in relation to real estate investment and development and business clients in the areas of employer/employee matters, structuring of compensation transactions, including various types of stock including restricted stock, discount stock and nonqualified stock options.

Before attending law school, Mr. Crutcher worked as a Certified Public Accountant for four years at Price Waterhouse, now Pricewaterhouse Coopers. His skill and knowledge as a C.P.A. undoubtedly enabled Jay to better serve his clients in the areas of business law and tax.

Mr. Crutcher practiced on the East Coast and at a large Texas firm before joining Scheef & Stone, acquiring the sophistication, knowledge and proficiency that he uses in his practice on a daily basis.
