For the past 18 years, Byron has been collecting and presenting stuffed animals to Children's Medical Center in support of their mission to "make life better for children"; through their Child Life Department. Their staff uses these animals to place by a child's face when they wake up from surgery.

Inspired by his own son's experience at Children's Medical Center of Dallas, Byron faithfully takes up a collection each year and personally delivers them to the hospital. Byron's son, now 19 years old, still has 8 stuffed animals he received while a patient there, and said that they still mean something to him.

This year Byron collected 100 stuffed animals with the help of friends and co-workers here at Scheef & Stone! We cannot wait to watch the number grow as he continues this act of kindness throughout the years.
